Module Teaching Objective
The teaching odjective of this module is to make the students appreciate the significance of Tender Document preparation and the importance of the ability to work effectively with other within the context of a team. It also aim to develop a depth of subject knowledge on the principles of measurement of various elements for students. Students also can develop the decision making and management skills related to the quantity surveying profession in the preparation of the Bills of Quantities.
Module Learning Outcome
Upon successful completion of this module, students will be able to recognize the items measurable for cold water and sanitary plumbing, electrical installation and M & E works and civil engineering works. Students also able to distinguish and illustrate differences in writing up descriptions in accordance to design changes of cold water and sanitary plumbing, electrical installlation and M & E works and civil engineering works. Students will also learn how to evaluate the relationship between specifications, drawings and Bill of Quantities in Tender Documents for cold water and sanitary plumbing, electrical installation and M & E works and civil engineering works.
Moreover, students can also know how to produce measurement for cold water and sanitary plumbing, electrical installation and M & E works and civil engineering works in accordance to Standard Method of Measurement (SMM2) and Malaysia Civil Engineering Standard Method of Measurement (MYCESMM). Lastly, students also able to generate a conceptual understanding of and the ability to competently carry out the preparation of the Bills of Quantities for cold water and sanitary plumbing, electrical installation and M& E works and civil engineering works.

Assignment
This is a group assignment where as students shall carry out this Assignment as a group effort comprising minimum 5 students in each group. In order to ensure contributions from all students, each of the following five (5) subsections shall be completed by a different student of the group in his own handwriting, identified by his/ her name on the first page of the answer sheet.
- (a) Taking off list with unit of measurement and the relevant SMM2 clauses. and (b) Query list and assumptions.
- Measurement of items of works from TNB meter to drawing no. DB"BG" and to DB'BF'.
- Measurement of all electrical works on ground floor, i.e. final sub-circuits & accessories,
- Measurement of all electrical works on first floor, i.e. final sub-circuits & accessories.
- Measurement of all electrical works on first floor, i.e. final sub-circuits & accessories.
- Preparation of the Bill of Quantities.
